My mission is to help you be the best version of yourself by focusing on local, nutrient dense, tasty food for you and yours.
“the food that we eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine of the slowest form of poison.”
-Ann Wilgmore
I believe that good ingredients are the key to a good meal, so I start with organic, clean, locally sourced food. My menu is always based on what’s available from farms and ranches in Central Texas, so it changes with the seasons. All meals are gluten-free, anti-inflammatory, and customized to meet your dietary needs.
I was born to a Lebanese father and Italian mother and quickly discovered that food is love. My culinary training began as soon as I was big enough to help both grandmothers prepare Mediterranean family feasts. I received my BS in Health and Fitness Education from the University of Texas with a minor in Biology. I continued my studies with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a Holistic Health Coach, and have spent over a decade working in wellness centers and honing my skills in the kitchen. Through my experience, I have discovered that my most valuable contribution to the health of my community is through the fork. I hope to elevate the vibe of my tribe one bite at a time.

you are what you eat
. . . and what you eat eats. Sadly, we live in a world where food is mass produced in unnatural ways. When we eat highly processed foods or animals that have been pumped full of hormones and antibiotics, we are bound to compromise our internal systems. For this reason, I use organic vegetables, pasture raised, grass-fed, and wild caught proteins. I source as many ingredients as possible from local farms and ranches. This in turn helps keep our local food system vibrant and allows us, as conscious consumers, to vote with our dollars.

“What do I think about Meg Horany? Well, she's intelligent, creative, a great conservationist, and a trusted nutritional adviser. What do I think about her chef skills? Well, maybe it's enough to tell you that she's gotten me to eat Brussels sprouts and cabbage . . . and like them! Don't get me wrong, she doesn't ask me to eat them often because she's taken the time and energy to learn my palate and gently expand my food options. Now, the real question, what do I think about the results? Seriously, you should know that 7 of my friends have been so impressed with my physical changes they have hired her themselves. I've lost 30 pounds and have not missed a meal, in fact I'm eating more and better. I have more sustained, better energy throughout the day. and I no longer crave sugar. I appreciate the absence of judgments and lectures, and the positive reinforcement and choices she continues to give me even after being under her nutritional care for 6 months.
I first started seeing her because of a serious kidney issue that required a special diet, then I got my self hooked on Whole 30. Meg has taught me a lot about Paleo eating, too. Her variety shouldn't be a surprise to me, because every time I talk to one of my friends they are eating something totally different than I am, whether it's vegan, veggie, no corn, whatever kind of diet and nutritional requests they take to her, she responds with a treasure trove of food options. She's like a nutritional cornucopia.
Oh, and I should tell you that she saves me a ton of time since I rarely grocery shop, I no longer have to prep or cook my own meals, and there's no messy clean up.”
